From a rubber-necked teacher to a tall man. Little Nightmares II builds upon the first games chilling foundations and delivers even more frightening enemies. Grab the book and drop down (don’t worry, you won’t die so long as you don’t jump - just fall), then slide the book into the middle hole in the background on the right side of the room. Little Nightmares II is better at indicating solutions, and the game doesnt require players to physically hold the required keys, a small but significant quality of life improvement. Crawl around the top until you get to the book near the middle of the room. Move back over to the left side of the room and push the ladder to the left so you can climb to the top. The book required for the third hole (the one in the middle), is located on the top of the bookshelves. You need to place one of the books on the floor in the hole on the left, and one in the hole on the far right. It is a take on a traditional pan-Asian fable, though telling you which would ruin the fun. Beyond lacking dialogue, there is no moral to the story of Little Nightmares. Two of the books on the floor match the patterns of these books. The music adds a layer of personality to each character, giving the story depth despite its lack of dialogue. If you pay close attention you’ll notice that the books on either side of the holes form a pattern. If you use your flashlight you can see the holes a bit easier. On the right side of the room there are three open spots on the bottom level of the bookshelves, two in the background near the left side, and one that’s harder to see on the far right side of the room near the foreground. You’ll notice another ladder here, as well as a few books on the floor. Unless your child can handle gore or you have therapy after it, no it’s not for kids. Now head back up the first flight of stairs (but not up the ladder or the lift) and make your way into the room on the far right. Gore overall doesn’t bother me.ĭrinking/Smoking/Drugs You can see characters drinking after eating, but none of the above really.įor the people who say it’s for kids, no it’s really not. Six then continues to walk down a hallway with these type of fat people who are eating away, she then proceeds to snap their necks, 1 or 2 heads are shown being snapped off their necks and it’s very gruesome, you can see the inside of the neck. At the end of the game aka the boss fight, six is starving and her starvation causes her to eat the woman (the boss), you can see Six biting into her neck, but due to flashes it doesn’t show Six eating her. Who knows, we might have Little Nightmares 3 before the end of the year. It’s now the beginning of 2022, and while Bandai Namco has remained quiet about the continuation of the Little Nightmares franchise, the rest of the year may offer its own surprises. Violence A LOT OF IT, there is a janitor who has rather long arms, further into the game Six traps his arms under the door causing them to be cut of, it is seen but its not too gory. This means only one thing: Little Nightmares 3 is possibly already in the works. Great role models Six, she is rather brave as a kid and who is being chased by literal giant monsters triple the size of her. Anyways, let’s start with the themes of the game. Perhaps it's the latter comparison that steals some of the potential from. In the case of the Hunter, the first antagonist in Little Nightmares II, there's not a lot that differentiates him from Leatherface or, bizarrely, Elmer Fudd.

The main focus of the game is about gluttony as well as greed, no one is giving Six any food as they are all keeping it to themselves. 9 This Is No Camping Trip (The Hunter) Scary hillbillies have long since been major players in the horror realm. While you do those puzzles there is possible human-like monsters trying to eat you, that escalates the game to be more stressful and make it more scarier, due to the fact that there is no jumpscares, and all of that stuff. The game is surrounded by cannibalism basically, the game is sort of a puzzle game.

They are human-like creatures that like to eat meat, and along with that children. The game takes place in “The Maw,” you, the main character named Six is trying to escape due to there being monsters on board trying to eat you.
